As already announced, Epica do a show with full orchestra and choir in Miskolc, Hungary on 14 Junio.Además of songs from our repertoire (including some The Score disk that we had never played live before) 45 minutes will Epica adaptations of metal and other classic songs and movies accompanied by the orchestra and choir. Epica As is well known to act in a classic show at the International Opera Festival in Miskolc, Hungary. Unfortunately, the show will be no filament to DVD. This means that everyone should come see the show to have this incredible experience. The show will be held on Saturday June 14 at the Miskolc Ice Hall. The organizers would like to thank the fans therefore will allow entry to small cameras ie UNPROFESSIONAL cameras. You will be allowed fans to take pictures and videos and upload to the Internet. Only one request: to write to the Photos / Videos are made at the International Opera Festival in Miskolc, Hungary

Epica advertises on its website:
extra week of rest, following the cancellation of most of the concerts this month, have helped much Simone in the recovery of MRSA infection. Three of the four acpectos from your last test have been negative and that's a big step ahead!. Unfortunately, one of those aspects were positive.
We have come a long way and we must continue so to overcome this. Therefore, we decided to ask our good friend Amanda Somerville to replace Simone U.S. on our next tour. As you all know, Amanda has been involved with Epica from the beginning as a voice of support to the vocalist as well as part of our choir. We are very pleased that Amanda is willing to help these weeks and we are more positive in that Simone can rest and recover from the infection and can rejoin us.

Epica has been working hard for their first show classic. We have asked Mark Jansen to tell us about it.
What was your reaction when you were invited to participate in the Miskolc International Opera Festival?
Mark: I found a fantastic idea and a great challenge for the band. How are you opportunities are not taken, therefore, when possible, you have to seize them.
"On the basis of which criteria were chosen songs for the show?
Mark: The promoters of the exhibition has some preferences and other were selected on the amount of classical instruments involved.
How do you recommend the classic songs of Epica, fans of classical music ( For example, the elderly)?
Mark: We have our roots in classical music and personally I love Mozart and Rachmaninov. Classical music can also be very strong and intense. Some tracks are classic metal without drums. Combine classical music and metal. Our fans range from 5 to 90 years.
What kind of surprises await fans of Epica?
Mark: We expect a live show, where all songs are 100% live. Normally we have the chorus and orchestra prerecorded tape so we can not do that. It will be very special. It is also expected a good selection of classical pieces by Epica.
What do you expect the show?
Mark: I hope that all the work and preparations (an already started) would be rewarded with a good show.
Will Epica playing the songs differently to the way they usually do?
Mark: Possibly some extra backing vocals here and there.

Mark: Oliver Palotai (Kamelot), the boyfriend of Simone has experience writing scores, will be a heavy workload and has already started.

Mark: About Miskolc to be honest nothing but Hungary, the capital is Budapest. Since the 80's are no free elections in Hungary, was once a communist state.

I want to express my gratitude to Epica fans who have supported me in these difficult moments. I received numerous emails and gifts. They really give me strength! This is very important to me. Unfortunately I'm still not cured of the infection. I am working very hard to get out of this, which is really painful for my back. I stopped the antibiotics and I'm dealing with herbal medicines. Antibiotics are the reason for my illness and I've had enough. The most important thing is that I still need rest to help my immune system. Epica and I are very sad that the Mexican tour is canceled again. We want to return but as many say is best for my return to the tour when fully curada.De any way I am optimistic and I know that exceeds this and prefer to wait before returning to the tour. I miss the scenery and gives me energy. Please be patient and hope to see you soon!

A lot of things have happened since our last interview in June. What has been the best thing that has happened so far?
Mark: The tour with Sonata Arctica was great, a great package with Ride The Sky, Epica and Sonata Arctica. Filled rooms, super groups and between the bands a good atmosphere.
The deal with Nuclear Blast was also a great time.
The 2008 began and already had a pretty tight schedule for January and February - but it was canceled most of the health of Simone. Has now been over a month since the last concert they did - what have you been doing ?
Mark: I've been writing some new music. We have been working on classical pieces we'll be playing on June 14 (the show with a classical orchestra.)
I've also been in the U.S. for 10 days.
And related to the previous question, we know you're not Simone, but how are you very close to it - How is your health?
Mark: She will have to take some exams this week and that will show us whether she is infected or not. It is a very serious virus and can take a while, unfortunately. I've visited just before my trip to the United States and have enjoyed it, but she remains very concerned about the virus.
Well, the first and only single (cut from broadcast) to The Divine Conspiracy was released in August 2007. While we do not want to get many singles, releasing a single normally means a good opportunity for fans to hear a new song. Have you thought about releasing another single?
Mark: No, I think a single is enough and there are no unreleased tracks anyway. We have already launched all. ;-)
During the North American tour, they played a version of "Living a Lie" only with Simone (replacing the male grunts) repeatedly. When will we have the opportunity to listen?
Mark: To be honest, we've played the version-only because I still do not know my party memory. Since I have learned me, prefer to play the version with growling vocals. (Laughs) What
planned for the rest of the year (after the postponed tour of Holland in May-June)? When will the South American tour?
Mark: First of all, we hope that Simone gets well soon. That is what is worrying about everything.
The idea and the plan is to go to South America later this year. South American fans have had to wait much longer. And we love playing there. :)
And now they have toured and played the album 'The Divine Conspiracy' completely live, what is your favorite song live?
Mark: Fools of Damnation, contains many challenges and is a great song live.
