Reading Circle in Madrid organized by the Fondo de Cultura Economica in Spain

D ince the English subsidiary of the Mexican publisher Fondo de Cultura Economica comes the invitation to the Reading Circle is being organized from the Juan Rulfo Library and the theme of "Literature and the Border" The study will address four major works of this interesting narrative authors such as Elmer Mendoza, Yuri Herrera, Daniel Sada or Julian Herbert.

sessions lasting one hour and forty five minutes will be carried out in four hours: Tuesdays 10 and 24 May, 7 and 21 June on site of Juan Rulfo's Bookstore located at 86 Ferdinand Street near Moncloa metro station.

An encounter with contemporary literature where you can participate in the dialogue of readings accompanied by an expert. This time in a cycle of Mexican Literature in which the narrative We sent four writers to northern Mexico and its border.

Content: The cycle of Mexican literature: Literature and boundary address a series of clues to understanding the landscape and the problems of life on the Mexican border with the United States. For more than a decade has been called to a number of authors as narrators North because they match a set of characteristics peculiar to the region and now help us understand their current problems: migration, sweatshops, drug trafficking.

Liliana Pedroza (Chihuahua, Mexico, 1976), who is the coordinator of this literary encounter, is a fiction writer and essayist. BA in English Literature at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua with studies Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies from the University Complutense of Madrid. She has taught college literature in Chihuahua, Mexico and visiting professor at the University of Montreal. He has taught creative workshops in various cities of his country and led reading circles.
