A yer just talked about the program "Bicentennial " which took place on 12 and 13 April in the facilities that the University has Castilla-La Mancha in Ciudad Real and was dedicated to Mexico in its third edition.

Well, the night of April 13 and in a kind of grand finale of the event, took place the inauguration of Mexican jurist Hector Fix Zamudio as Doctor Honoris Causa, in a ceremony presided by the rector of the UCLM Ataz Ernesto Martinez, and was attended, among others, Constitutional Court president, Pascual Sala, the general director of the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies, Luis Delgado, the president of the Audiencia Provincial de Ciudad Real, Maria Jesus Alarcon, and the presidents of the Autonomous University of Baja California, Felipe Cuamea; of the Autonomous State Mexico, Eugenio Gasca, and Guanajuato, Arturo Lara.

Everyone who has gone through the Faculty of Law at the Autonomous University of Mexico will know of the academic career of Professor Fix Zamudio, teacher of many generations of lawyers in our country.

The full story of the event can be read here , but I would like for you to save and share a couple of paragraphs that I consider important:
former president of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, Honorary Life President of the Iberoamerican Institute of Law Constitutional and honorary president of the Iberoamerican Institute of Law Constitutional Litigation; Fix Zamunio has received eight honorary doctorates. Also author of 23 books and over four publications on Procedural Law, Constitutional, Constitutional Litigation and Human Rights is Dr. Fix example of dedicated and passionate college. With a passion for the university that took him away from other responsibilities to devote himself to academic life. Always justified decision for an obvious reason: "The college is a career decision, the strongest."

After swearing allegiance to the institution and to receive the Medal of Grade rector and the "embrace of brotherhood," the new doctor "honoris causa" delivered his acceptance speech in which he expressed excitement for the recognition and wanted to contradict the opening words of Don Quixote because "I do want to remember the place of La Mancha, Ciudad Real, will live forever in my heart," said . From this modest space
we send the teacher broader Fix Zamudio our congratulations on this important recognition adds to the long list of honors that has accumulated in his long and fruitful career.
