International Poetry Prize "Jaime Sabines" 2011

fully convinced that in Spain there are many talented Mexican have ease of writing and the creative act of the literature does not find it strange or remote process. I know because I know some who write poetry, essays and even short stories and they do very well. For

for them, but also for those English-speaking writers, I announce in this space Call the State Council for Culture and Arts of the State of Chiapas in Mexico launched on the occasion of International Poetry Prize Jaime Sabines 2011.

since 1993 has been celebrated this poetry competition among English-speaking poets living in Mexico or abroad. " Each year, the International Poetry Prize Jaime Sabines calls a growing number of contestants, from various countries American. Poets from different regions of the Americas have participated in the contest that bears the name of a representative author of the twentieth century English poetry. The call issued annually has allowed the reading public know about some innovative voices in contemporary poetry in our language . "

INTERNATIONAL POETRY PRIZE 2011

BASES

I. Open to all English-speaking poets living in the country or abroad.

II. Contestants must submit, in triplicate, an unpublished book of poems, written in English, with free theme and form, not the competition simultaneously in any other competition. May not participate authors have previously received this award as well as works that have been awarded in other literary competition or are in press.

III. Papers must be submitted in Times New Roman / 12, on one side only, double spaced in letter size. The extension of the poems will 80 sheets at a minimum and a maximum of 120. The papers should be signed with a pseudonym.

IV. Contestants sent, along with poems, a sealed envelope containing the following data: name, address, telephone number, fax or e-mail account and copies of official identification.

V. To preserve anonymity, the work should be exempt from rates, dedications and epigraphs to suggest the identity of the poet. Stems of identification shall be deposited with a notary public in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas. The notary public will only bring the Jury and destroy the rest.

VI. The competing works will be received, in a closed and under a pseudonym, in the Events Office, located in the headquarters of State Council for Culture and Arts of Chiapas, Angel Albino Corzo Boulevard 2151, Fraccionamiento San Roque, PC. 29070, Tuxtla GutiƩrrez, Chiapas. VII. There will be a prize, one and indivisible of $ 100,000.00 (ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS 00/100 MN), and recognition, to be delivered to the poet who wins in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico.

VIII. In the case of the papers sent by mail, you accept those match the postmark date of the closing of the call.

IX. The jury will be composed of three renowned writers and their decision is final. It's power-Chiapas CONECULTA resolve any case not considered in the basis of this call.

X. The result will be announced through publication on the website of the Council ( www.conecultachiapas.gob.mx ) on Friday October 7, 2011. The Council shall immediately notify the contestant who wins.

XI. The State Council for Culture and Arts of Chiapas cover only travel expenses and accommodation of the winner to attend the award ceremony, which will be held in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico, under the International Festival of Literature Jaime Sabines 2011.

XII. The State Council for Culture and Arts of Chiapas will publish the award, reserving the rights to the first edition, and printing of the work is done in accordance with the policies and editorial policies of this Council.

XIII. We do not return the originals or copies of the work involved.

XIV. The call is open from the date of publication and will close on Friday July 29, 2011.
