I PHOTOGRAPHIC PRIZE "Catalonia, a WELCOME"

MEXCAT invites nominations Photo 1st prize "Catalonia, a land of welcome", for all Mexicans and foreign residents living in Catalonia. Photographs submitted must show the vision of the new residents about the traditions and popular culture of Catalonia. Must submit five color photographs of measures 20.3 x 27cm, plus a CD containing digital images at 300 dpi. Five themes to choose from the following:

• cabezudos Giants
• Castellers
• Bestiary
• Diables
• Sardana and folk dance popular Catalan Cuisine
• Events (Ex: The celebration of Berga, Dansa of Mort de Verges, l'Ou com balla, the Passion, ... Sant Jordi)
  

Entries must be submitted in an envelope within which there will be five photographs and the CD plus a sealed envelope with the data (name, phone e-mail) of person. Be delivered or postmarked by June 15, 2011 in the Secretariat d'Entitats Sants, the Bordeta Hostafrancs i (C / Sants 79, 08014 Barcelona) or Consulate General of Mexico (Pg Bonanova 55, 08017, Barcelona) PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST name MEXCAT. A jury of three people outside MEXCAT pick out the best images.

The winner will be announced the last week of June. The award will be 200 € in cash and / or products and services establishments sponsors. The works of the winner and the best among those submitted for the other contestants will be presented in Guadalajara (Jalisco) and Cuernavaca (Morelos) in the Cultural Weeks Catalan MEXCAT held between the last week of September and early October.
